Unblocking the sink (9)

I am one of those of people who try a new product (once, if it fails it will never be tried again) because it was advertised. The sink in bathroom was blocked again. Only 9months ago a plumber was called in to sort it out and it was up and running in no time. The same symptons started showing recently, we tried the sink plunger - no result. (a picture of sink plunger is available here)

Seeing the advert for Mr Muscle Sink & Plughole Unblocker and its catchy slogan ‘loves the jobs you hate’ - It seemed I had found the solution. I told my sister to pick up a bottle from Tesco. We read the label and proceeded with caution. The entire contents was poured down blocked plughole and it was left overnight to allow it work effectively. My Mom got up in morning and completed the last step in the instructions - Rinse with hot water from tap. But wait, the hot water did not go. The sink was completely blocked. We finished worse than we started.

Since I was the one preaching all good news about Mr Muscle Sink & Plughole Unblocker, I was extremely disappointed. Then it occurred to me (this is where weblogs come in) that surely if the product does not work someone would ranted about it in their blog. I went straight to google, typed in some keywords and I found a tip in comment section on using a wire coat-hanger. I was back at sink with my hanger and all was solved. The sink is flowing and I have been decleared the hero for the day.

Moral of the Story: If in doubt, Go to Google/Yahoo and type keywords associated with the issue you are facing and you too could be a hero for day.
