ADEREMI'S NOTEBOOK

2007 Presidential candidates

Trae has a list of presidential candidates contesting the 2007 election in Nigeria. The list includes the usual suspects; Babangida, Atiku, Buhari and Marwa.

Remember Bashir Tofa, he’s back. Not heard a thing about him for the last 13years. Now he wants to be president?

2007 is around the corner and I think Nigerians should be more worried that there is not an election timetable out yet…

Just got this link in an email and I find it amusing, http://www.againstbabangida.com . The Babangida camp have posted the 3 part documentary on June 12 annulment & IBB’s achievements on youtube. You can see a bit of Bashir Tofa in that documentary just in case you have not had enough of him !!!

Just wondering what people mean by usual suspects. It sounds like its a crime to want to contest an election.Take a look at http://www.babangida.com found it very interesting.

Who is gbenga Adeoba?

Having read your article, I would include you on the list of the ‘usual suspect’ - this will give you ample time to bury you head in the sand and continue to wonder!. May you wonder forever.

A lesson in Elementary Civics would do you a world of good.

The right to vote and be voted for is reserved for citizens who are not criminals. Therefore, I respectfully argue that it is a crime for criminals such as your friend Babangida, having squandered our future to want to or be allowed to contest an election - at least not until they have paid for their crimes.

hello ladies and gentle men, am a young boy of 20 yrs, student of (crutech) so am still heading to achieve my future more better.

there are some contesting candidiate which i can’t vote for them because there were already on that position some years ago and thier regim was not favourable as now. so there should cancell thier idea as for Donal duke and Obong Victor Attah the executive governor of Akwa Ibom State. i prefere Attah to donald.

so let all the suspect especially Babangidah and atiku should rest.

Their is a saying “Old soldiers never die” Nigeria is awashed with intellectuals who are brought up inthe filled global politics and security which Nigeria is among the architect. Why then do we have problem in banding former dictactors from participating in the democratic presidential election of a democratic and federal states of nigeria (excluding Olusegun Obasanjo)

http://www.againstbangida.com is one of the most serious web sites about Nigeria’s future. We can’t brush it off as a joke. Those who know what is at stake in 07 will stand up, donate to them and make sure they record some success. Otherwise, Nigeria may be dead in IBB’s hands.

MR MC who proclaimed IBB a criminal?you? or the court of law?Did the bible or Koran not teach you NOT TO JUDGE” That is look at the log in your eye first before you remove that of others. Also Were you not taught to respect elders who are you to call a man like ibb a criminal ?are you age mates ?I take it that your parents didnt teach you well and you refused to learn from God to respect elders. Also we are in a democratic rule innocent until proven guilty IBB has no criminal record anywhere in the world maybe you have?Judge and you shall be judged.

And by the way against babangida or whatever they are called are 419 money grabbing idiots who have nothing better to do than to dictate to Nigerians who to vote and not vote for .I think the voting public are all adults who do not need to be told or preached to as to who to vote for.To add pepper and salt to the wound they even beg for money and the site is filled with advertising. Can someone tell me what any of them have ever done for Nigeria? And can someone tell me how many times these people bribe there way around nigeria police etc they are just as corrupt as the ones they accuse and attempt to judge.Again they should look at the log in there own eye.Sad sad sad.

Gbenga Adeoba!! very soon I will expose all of them

Mr gbenga Adeoba!

Thanks for the correction, I did not say I corrected to make people feel inferior, I just sort of requested permission in regards to the post I copied here, you may go to my site and see the difference between the same posts, here and there.

There is a difference between routine typographical error and compositional error.

Thx bro, we all learn from criticism.

I suggest that anybody who is honest should win. It will dangerous for one to put himself for personal gain that will lead to no where.

I wonder why someone is still asking who are the usual suspects….since I came of age and now i am 24yrs old, we have been hearing of the same set of people playing the cards in nigerian politics, just changing thier approach like from military to elected politicians….i think these old men are spending out the youths era…
that is why we nigerians can“t expect any thing new because veterans comes with their old way of thinking and will never be able to move the country forward.
I believe We need new players in nigerian politics..lets the grandpas take a break and allow young men with great minds do the job.
