ADEREMI'S NOTEBOOK

21 February 2004

One for the mind

(I stole this one from sathish)

You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night. You pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:

  1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
  2. An old friend who once saved your life.
  3. The perfect man (or) woman you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?

Think and try to answer the question before reading

Apparently the candidate who got the job (out of 200 candidates) simply answered “I would give the car keys to my old friend, and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the woman of my dreams.”

Blagh, blah blah!

I’m surprised they failed to realise that the candidate in fact did not answer the question. He had to choose one person; simple as.

Ah… Thanx for the acknowledgements

Sat, you are welcomed.

Stormy, I think it was because it was the most creative answer they received. Imagine everyone choose someone but rather he went the extra mile to ensure eveyone was satisfied. (’out of the box’ thinking)

lol i was going to say i would wait there with all of them till the bus came… but instictively i know i’d pick the old woman… the other two can fend for themselves..my friend would understand and the person of my dreams…can stay just there.. “in my dreams!”

Ok.. however its wrong to assume the person of your dreams would reciprocate your feelings towards them..

lol @ assumption. I guess we like to assume things will always go our way.

My friend once ask me the same question. And I didn`t know the answer, but when he told me the answer, I just said: ya right.
Then I asked him one, which is:
- there are 2 fathers and 2 sons, how many persons are there? He didn`t know, but the answer is simply. Only 3. Think!
I also wanted to say this blog is great, I visit it every week and I love it.
