“419ers” have surfaced in Baghdad

I think headlines like “Nigerian 419ers surface in Baghdad” does not do justice to Nigeria. Anyone can claim to be a Nigerian and send an 419 email. The extensive collection of 419 sample letters available on web will mean there is no need for the person to crack up a head before coming up with a scam letter.

Yes - I find it offensive that this particular type of scam is referred to as “Nigerian”.

Well, on the bright side maybe everyone wants to be a Nigerian.

Ayo, Considering that Nigerians are supposed to be the happiest people in the world (according to some New Scientist’s report last year), I agree.

Is it not surprising that the only victims are non nigerian, no right thinking Nigerian is going to part with his money for some dumb ass idea - so we must also be the smartest

We have those 419ers in the motherland to thank for this special recognition.
